  1. Originally EP "Blood of Heroes" was to be dedicated to Timothy McVeigh who is the true hero of America for me. Releasing of EP coincided with the 11th of September. So I had to change this dedication. I did not want VinlandWinds Records from New York that was to release this EP to have any problems with the special police/5(11).

  4. The track 'Blood of Heroes' is dedicated to Timothy McVeigh. Recording information: Recorded at Eastclan Forge and DSP Studio on Summer Identifiers: Matrix / Runout (Side A): AO /A Matrix / Runout (Side B): AO /A.
  5. "Blood of Heroes" appears as the logical continuation of the preceding full-length "Memory and Destiny". Once again, Rob Darken has created a mixture of Valkyrie-like background choirs, fairly simple yet elegiac melodies, mid-paced rhythms and raw lead vocals. Well, some might say that he uses Nazi-influenced aesthetics.
  6. This EP is probably the most underrated and under appreciated piece of material in the whole of Graveland's discography. Let me start by saying the copy I have is of the original pressing, on cassette in which Blood of Heroes is the first track and I Am What They Fear is the second (on MA, it is seen as the other way around, whether that applies to the No Colours CD re-issue, I am not sure).
  7. Graveland's style has changed from raw black metal on the early albums to a more epic sound which is inspired by Hammerheart-era Bathory. Lyrically, on the early works Rob Darken was inspired by Celtic beliefs, now he's Wotanism-orientated and calls his music "epic pagan metal".
  8. Here's the deal with Blood of Heroes~ They can only spawn in the Eastern or Western Plaguelands, they are pretty hard to find and have a massive region over to where to spawn and very few do spawn. NOW BE CAREFUL, once looted, it can spawn 1, 2, or 3 Fallen Heroes, they are elites that have a 60 second duration AoE shout that slows you.
